Ingredients-

  • All-purpose flour ¾ cup
  • Wheat flour ¼ cup
  • Clarified butter (low fat) ½ cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds 2 tsp
  • Chocolate chips 1 cup
  • Water 2 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Grated Orange peels
  • Orange essence Few drops
  • Ghee for brushing

Method-

Make dough for the samosa recipe:

• Firstly, combine the all-purpose flour, wheat flour, clarified butter, baking powder, and fennel in a broad bowl. Use your fingers to blend it into a crumbly texture.

• Add water to bring all together into a nice tight and smooth dough. Cover with a cheesecloth holding it aside for 15 minutes.

Filling:

• Divide the previously kept dough into small equal size balls. For the samosa sheet or wrapper, roll out the samosa dough balls into a 4-inch diameter circle with a rolling pin.

• Split the circle into two. Make a conical shape and fill the cavity with a spoonful of choco-chips and orange shred mix.

• Seal it to give perfect triangle shape. Finally, place them on a lined baking tray 2” apart from other. Brush them with ghee.

• Preheat the oven to 150° C or 300 ° F.

• Bake the samosa at the given temperature till golden brown. This takes between 15-20 minutes.
